Xiaotang Yang (杨小唐)

About Me

Welcome! I am an assistant professor in the Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) pillar at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Prior to this role, I was a Postdoc fellow in Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto, supervised by Ming Hu. I obtained my Ph.D. from University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, advised by Saif Benjaafar.

My research interests are in the area of operations management with a focus on innovative technologies and new business models. Specifically, I seek to understand their impact within the contexts of on-demand service platforms, smart mobility solutions, the digital economy, and healthcare systems.
